Portraits Hand Painted by Verity Cantare

Portraits are a special art form. Capturing the personal stories of the subject while creating a faithful rendition can be quite challenging.

Photographing a good portrait can be very difficult and is certainly an art form in itself. Painting a good portrait brings this particular art form to another level, as it has the potential to capture and bring out the abstract as well as the visual reality.

Every time I see a portrait and ask about its story, the person I’m talking with smiles in remembrance as they explain the history and circumstances.
