Fine Art Scanning and Printing

Online printing services are either slow or expensive, or both, and shipping is just getting more expensive.

So, I’m excited to expand my services to offer small format art reproduction and printing services right here in Greenville, Texas!

My pricing has multiple levels, which lets you to manage how much prints cost. And since I’m local, you’ll be able to work personally with me to make sure your print comes out the best it can!

These include:

Digitizing

Digitizing service starts at $35 per piece. Most pieces will be this price, unless it is very large or complicated to work with. This service includes:

  • Fine art scanning
  • Color space conversion
  • Color and image adjustment in a calibrated environment
  • Color profile embedding
  • Enlargement / resizing if desired
  • Sheet Layout for printing on my art printer

Deliverables

You will receive

  • A very high resolution, color corrected lossless TIF file in Adobe RGB. This can be resampled later to enlarge the piece if desired.
Note: this file shouldn’t be used for printing as the very high resolution can potentially cause distortion in the printing process. This file is for archival purposes only.
  • A 300 dpi color corrected high quality jpeg in Adobe RGB at the proper size for printing
  • If you are having me do the printing, then I will also produce a sheet layout that maximizes the copies that will fit on the sheet of paper you have picked. You can have a copy of this layout if you desire.

Limitations

To keep prices low, each sheet layout produced during the digitizing service will only have a single art piece on it. If you want multiple different pieces, there will be a separate layout fee.

Moderate to heavy impasto requires different digitizing methods that I can’t offer. Light impasto might have unexpected artifacts.

My art scanner is 8.5 x 14 inches. Larger pieces will need to be flexible so they can be scanned in pieces. This means stretched canvas or pieces mounted on stiff backing board that are larger than this won’t be able to be scanned by my equipment.

Printing

Printing is based on per sheet printed, not per copy received. So if we can fit multiple copies on a single sheet, then it’s the same price for the whole thing!

Price is based on current paper and ink cost. Here is a breakdown of the standard papers I have in stock and printed price:

RR Aurora Art Natural 250 8×10$2.56
RR Aurora Art Natural 250 11×14$5.16
60lb River Linen 8.5×11$2.48
60lb River Linen 11×17$4.20
Epson Presentation Matte 11×17$1.50

Layout

Do you have a file you want printed? I’m happy to take a look at it and see if it’s suitable for fine art printing!

If it is suitable, there is a low, one time layout fee starting at $5. This increases as the layout complexity increases.

Cutting

If you want to save some money, you can cut and trim the printed sheets yourself! The layout will have corner marks to define where to cut so it will be easy for you.

If you would prefer I do it, there is a cutting fee, starting at $2 per sheet and increasing for more complex layouts.
